San Miguel Students are Rooting for Trees!

San Miguel Academy is honored to be participating in Root for Trees!

Sponsored by the Garden Club of Orange and Dutchess Counties, students have the opportunity to lend a hand and learn about tree care from local arborists. Along with Garden Club volunteers, San Miguel Academy students are working to beautify Haible Way in Downing Park. So far, they have planted two sugar gum trees, a long border of daffodil bulbs, and a big bunch of acorns. The group is also trimming and removing dead trees.

Project coordinator Pamela Breeman: “Thanks to the students from San Miguel Academy who are making this project SO much fun for us and for the important work they are doing for the future of Downing Park.
