Child & Family Services Program
Through the generous support of benefactors including the Theresa and Edward O’Toole Foundation, San Miguel Program has a center to provide psychological and emergency services to the students and their families.
San Miguel Program strives to provide more than just educational services to those in our community. Our Child and Family Services program is a source of stability that reaches beyond the classroom, connecting each student to a school social worker and to collaborative affiliations with Catholic Charities. San Miguel Program deploys Child and Family Services to help address the extraordinary challenges that our students face, challenges that have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic for the past year and a half.
To encourage positive social and emotional development, our social worker and administrative staff host individualized meetings with each student each week. These sessions provide the time and space for students to express concerns about what is occurring around them.
