On Thursday, November 18th, San Miguel 7th graders spent the day at Mohonk Preserve- hiking, exploring, and enjoying some incredible views. It was a perfect fall day for the trip, especially for a picnic lunch on top of the ‘Gunks (Shawangunk Ridge).
At San Miguel Academy, we use a Project and Place-Based Curriculum which offers structured learning opportunities that take place both inside and outside the classroom. Our students spend time each week in the field at a wide variety of Hudson Valley educational sites Mohonk Preserve and Stony Kill Farm.
