On Friday, May 16, San Miguel Academy welcomed leaders from Hudson Valley trade organizations to speak with students about career opportunities in the skilled trades. The event was organized by Alan Seidman, Executive Director of the Construction Contractors Association, and Nick Preddice of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation and a San Miguel Academy board member.

Speakers shared insights into the many benefits of trade union careers, including fully funded apprenticeship programs, hands-on training, and access to well-paying, rewarding professions.
The event concluded with a STEMPilot flight simulator demonstration in the San Miguel Academy STEAM Learning Center. STEMPilot is a vital part of SMA’s curriculum, helping students explore opportunities in the high-demand field of aviation.
