Donato Giuseppi III named Chairman of the Board of Trustees

San Miguel Program is pleased to announce that Donato Giuseppi III has been named Chairman of the Board of Trustees. A member of the Founders Council and original Board of Trustees, Don has been inspired to be part of the mission of the San Miguel Academy of Newburgh since it first opened its doors in 2006.  As a student of Fr. Mark Connell at John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers, NY, Don learned the value of faith, compassion, and a quality education.  He then went on to Boston College, where he graduated in 2002 with degrees in Finance, Economics, and Theology, with the latter being the most fulfilling accreditation.

After college, Don began his career at UBS, where he still works today.  Initially, he worked as an investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group, focusing primarily on advising leading Financial Markets & Technology companies on strategic M&A and capital raising transactions, both domestically and cross-border.  He then transitioned to Chief Operating Officer for investment banking in the Americas, where he worked closely with senior management on planning, monitoring, and executing all strategic initiatives, business operations, and risk control oversight.  Since 2014, Don has led the efforts of bringing unique capital market investment opportunities to eligible Ultra High Net Worth and Family Office clients.  The Direct Investments Group has a particular focus on direct equity and direct real estate private placements.

Don and his wife Jamie live in Pelham, NY with their three children: Sienna, Donato, and Luca.  An active member of his community, Don coaches his children in hockey, baseball, softball, and basketball.  Don and his family enjoy skiing, traveling, and playing with their dogs, Nyla and Hudson.

Don succeeds Thomas Crispi as Chairman. Under Tom’s steady and dedicated leadership, San Miguel Academy was able to purchase the former St. Francis School.  It can’t be overstated how important and meaningful it is to have a permanent home for our expanding list of programs and services for the youth of Newburgh, New York. Starting in middle school at San Miguel Academy and extending through high school and post-secondary placement, San Miguel Program makes a long-term commitment to each student and their family. With the support and dedication of our families, faculty, and benefactors, we are succeeding in breaking the cycle of poverty through education and opportunity.
