Profiles

Brendan McCarthy is a member of the Founders Council and Board of Trustees.  As a former student of Fr. Mark Connell at John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers, NY, Brendan has been a part of San Miguel Program since its inception.  Brendan recently rejoined Goldman Sachs as a Managing Director. Previously, he was with Blackrock as a Managing Director in the ETF and Index Investing team since Since.  Prior to Blackrock, Brendan spent fifteen years at Goldman Sachs where he was a Managing Director in the securities division. During his time at Goldman, Brendan worked in New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. Brendan has been involved with SMAN since the beginning, supporting and following its progress even when living abroad.   Brendan and his wife Megan are both graduates of the College of the Holy Cross. They live in Darien, CT with their three children, Rose, Brendan, and John.
