Summer Scholars Program

Summer Scholars Program

Relief from the heat of the street

The Summer Scholars Program (SSP) is a 6 week, ¾ day, academic program held during July and August. SSP is a continuation of the academic year using the PBL**squared curriculum. The program takes place at various locations throughout the Hudson Valley in order to carry out hands on learning experiences for the students in both Science and Social Studies. During the days in the building, teachers focus heavily on ELA and Math skills for both enrichment and remediation. Students also enjoy swimming, barbecuing and playing sports at the homes of friends and benefactors of San Miguel Academy.

San Miguel Academy of Newburgh admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
