Admissions

San Miguel Program welcomes students as long as they have the will to learn and a desire to succeed in their personal, spiritual, and educational lives. San Miguel Program is a 12-year program that supports students along their educational journey from 5th grade through college.

Admission is based on a number of factors including an application process, student and family interviews, financial need, and an evaluation during an incoming 5th grade summer program. San Miguel Academy of Newburgh recognizes that each student brings with him or her a unique learning style, and every attempt is made to differentiate instruction to best serve each student.

One hundred percent of the student body at San Miguel Academy is eligible for free meals under the federal Child Nutrition Program.

The students are primarily Hispanic (80%) and African American (20%).

San Miguel Academy requires that parents/guardians commit to supporting their child in their pursuit of academic success. San Miguel understands that there is a direct correlation between parental/guardian participation and the academic achievement of the student.
